For real?
Am I insane, or is this a backwards robe? Can you really sell someone a backwards robe and pretend like it’s a new, revolutionary product? Well then, I have a backwards flannel shirt to sell you. Oh, I’m sorry. . . I mean I have the awesome new MINI-SNUGGIE! By popular demand, the mini-Snuggie, for people who only have a cold torso.
I have to say, the commercial (which you can see at the above link), gets pretty unsettling, because everyone is sporting a crimson Snuggie. It looks like a commercial full of the Emporer’s Royal Guards, who happen to not be wearing their helmets. Like it’s Imperial Casual Day.
You know, some of those “As Seen on TV” products are actually neat or useful — this one is just plain silly though. I love how they make it seem like having to cover up with a blanket is a *real chore* and inconvenience, like there’s people out there reaching to turn the lamp from the couch, and when the blanket slips off, they immediately start shouting “Son of a bi#*@!”
Also, they couldn’t just relegate the product to the privacy of your own home, but they actually expect people to subject themselves to ridicule by wearing said product to public outings like sporting events? Ai, yah …
Can you imagine a bleacher full of these yahoos at a high school football game? They’d come across like some crazy Cthulhu cult.

I saw the commercial for those reverse robes and I laughed. I agree with Daniel-san when it comes to the “serious trauma” that occurs when the blanket slips. It’s devastating.
The bright red color is creepy to me. But, then again, I’m not particularly fond of red anyhow.
I fully grasp how stupid my parents thought the backwards jeans trend looked.
I think I shall wear a backpack on my front and market that. I will call it the frontpack. It could go big.
