Especially when you’re talking to Jordan Catalano.

Another quote from My So-Called Life: “You know how sometimes the last sentence you said, like, echoes in your brain? And it just keeps sounding stupider? And you have to say something else just to make it stop?”

That’s basically me, whenever I’m around people that I don’t know very well. I suck at small talk and usually end up sounding like an idiot or I go into overshare mode. Either way, it is not a good way to win friends and influence people.

I do believe MSCL is the most quotable show ever.

In other news, we went to a wedding tonight, and I got to wear one of my new dresses with some new shoes. The whole outfit was surprisingly comfortable, for a dress. And, even though the reception was fun and everything, it really made me glad that we did our reception the way we did. No one had to shout to be heard, everything was mellow and low-key. Oh, that kind of makes it sound like we passed out weed. Well, I’m not going to say weed wasn’t passed out at our reception, because I know it was, but it wasn’t on a large scale and it wasn’t supplied out of the wedding budget. So, I’m going to say that didn’t impact the mellowness of the evening as much as the fact that we didn’t have dancing, so the DJ didn’t have to blast the tunes.

Don’t drunk people give the best hugs? They are not afraid to really squeeze you. I think part of it is trying to regain their balance.
